Hi All,

My dog is receiving treatment for radial nerve damage. The damage has resulted in a paralysis of the right leg and loss of sensation due to a bump with a car, its getting better, but as expected slowly.

I am logging her progress at http://www.brackens-story.blogspot.com please have a look if you have time. The story is being written to advise of the good work that is done at Arthursheil Rescue Centre http://www.arthurshiel-rescue.org

Bracken has been receiving Hydrotherapy, Deep Electrolysis and Acupressure treatment to assist her on the road to recovery.

I was just wondering if anyone else has a pet that has experienced radial nerve damage or can give me any advise in helping her recover.

Thanks,

Craig.

Hi Craig

I have read your blog. Poor Bracken. It is nice to read how hard you are all working with Bracken to try and improve the situation. I am afraid I haven't heard of Radial Nerve Damage until I have read this. However, I do personally suffer from paralysed nerves endings in my intestines since a hospital operation that went badly wrong so I now how much nerve damage can affect you and also how painful it can be at times.

I wish you and Bracken well, keep up the good work.

Kate :)

Hiya,

I've no experiance or advice to offer on your situation, sorry. But have just read your blog and have to say I admire how much effort you are putting in to helping Bracken get better. Sounds like the treatments are all going well for her.

Excellent also that you are blogging it in this way; it will help other owners that may be going through the same thing deal with it and give them some insight as to what might help their own dog.

Good luck with it all.

:luck: :luck: :luck:

Might be worth asking this question in the Greyhound or Lurcher section

Thanks for the hint, I have posted my message in the Greyhound section.

Any advise is good advise.

Thanks again all.

Craig.
