Does any body know how many raisins a dog would need to eat before they are dangerous?

I'm not sure if it was Merlin and/or Willow but one or both of them have just raided my bag (which I accidently left on the floor when I got home from work) and a small bag containing mixed nuts/dried fruit has been eaten - I know there were definately raisins in there but can't say for sure how many although fortunately i'd already eaten a lot of the bag.

my dogs have done the same with no ill effects they will generally vomit up anything that is harmful to them but best to keep an eye on them just in case

Well Willows just vomitted everywhere so he could be the raisin raider, then again he has just stuffed lots of dog & horse poo over the country park - a habit he's just developd over the last few days :x

It is very little something like 3-5 grams per kilo of dog.

Mine ate half a christmas pud and had to go to the vets for an injection to make him vomit :x

Better out than in as they say :)

Well, all I can say is that TJ stole and ate 12 mince pies laced with brandy the Christmas before last and is still alive and well to tell the tale!!

How are they both today
They are Ok now thanks Anita but I had a horrible night worrying about them both, I think i'll start a new thread about it just to relay some of the information i've found out on raisin toxicity - i'm sure a lot of people know about it but there may be some that don't know or are not aware of the full danger.
