I was off colour again this weekend - I went flying on black ice and landed on my head (yes, I know it was the safest place for me to land, nothing to damage!!)

Meanwhile, at Birkdale show, BOB was Charlotte Nickel with Phantoms Firefly in Blenheimgate, BPIB was Raslee Rainbow Chaser - at her first show!! She won puppy, junior and novice!! She was a late starter due to injuring herself at 5 months, she seems much beter now!! her new dad is delighted, it's the first time he has shown whippets.

Several people have asked me why Charlottes bitch doens't carry my affix - well ask the kennel club!!! They made a real botch up when I applied for my affix, eventually refusing the only one they had allowed me of my first 6 choices. They eventually granted me Raslee, which they had refused the first time I had applied for it. They also misinformed me about being able to register my litter before my affix had done it's stint in the KC Gazette. It was one long catalogue of errors by the KC, so my first litter (other than Fern, Raslee Dance of LIght) show without my affix. I find the KC have their heads shoved so far up their a***s that they can't see the light!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry about that Doris!! I have just read what I said, I must have been feeling a little hazy from the bump on the head!! (But I don't take any of it back!!!)

Congratulations Jools. Isn't it a great feeling when someone else wins with a dog you've bred? I just love it.

Of course I love winning with my own dogs but it's a whole different kinda proud when someone else does it.
