old ratting trips that always stick in yer mind. we used to shoot on a farm next to bridge mere, plenty of rabbits , the first time we got there we were greeted by a huge mound of earth and the other side was a hole , about 5 ft deep. and in it was a cows carcus smoldering , but the mound was full of rat holes wow , next trip the ferrets , and loads of rats , we used to shoot them with shot gun,s when they bolted as well , lol, that was fun and fast.

another farm , asked the farmer for permission to rat , he said no rats on here , me been young cocky b*****d said dont be silly yer got loads there,s runs , and rat shit every where mate, so he said help yer self but keep out of this first room here its got calves in .

so off we went , loads of runs and shit but no rats , canna belive it no rats , we went every where canna find a rat ,

went back in the farm yard farmer was laughing , told yer no rats ,

i said they are in there. farmer said nought in there but calves have a look then through top of door ,

dam nought but calves nothing in there.

BUT side of the door was a 2 foot concreate old council sink on the ground, and i could see 1 hole going under it , there they are i said, can yer get yer calves out , farmer said no. lol, please matey rats are under there, so he did , yeh , 2 terriers in there me me jill polecat and 10 second,s later there was mayhem rats every where , terreier was mental killing them left right and centre, what a mad 30 minutes , a few pictures we took of the rats when we got home , then froze them for ferret meat. cheers savage boy
