over the last 7 month or so i have been having problems with beckie ,loosing weight,drinking water by the gallon etc.

last week she was diagnosed as having cushing's deseae after consultation with my vet about treatment and cost i made one of the hardest decisions of my life to have her put to sleep.i am absolutly devastated.

no way could i take her so my friends dave & dianne kindly took her this morning she went peacfully.

she was given to my late wife marion as a birthday present by andy & molly out of there great stud dog wor john x broadfield flash (ghd),as a racer she was one of the best as a family pet even better,she was a privalige to race and i just hope her offspring can run like she could.

We have been thinking about you both all morning John, i'm sat here with tears welling up as i type

Fairwell my darling - you have made your dad so proud and i feel very priveleged to have watched you grow from a gangly pup into the beautiful girl you were.

It is heartbreaking knowing what you are going through John, but i know you have done the right thing and stopped Becki's suffering, it is all that can be asked when our dogs have been so loyal to us to let them go with dignity.

She will always be remembered and thought of highly in this house, i really hope the pups will do their mum & you proud.

great bitch one the fastest at only 31lb.always remember for her races with peters show three to fantastic dogs . and when i though i was going to win the handicap at aycliffe with atlanta,becki gave us 8 yds and beat skye by a head,what a run wouldnt of though it possible as skye did constant 8.8 ish. what a run. still cannot believe it.

always remembered r.i.p, love dave and di.
