I think is is time that everyone who wants to post on the non-ped site be made to use their correct names, the reason for this can be plainly seen in some of the last few threads. Some may object but i see no reason as to why they should unless they intend sending a malicious posting and hide behind a ficticious name. Most who post on a regular basis are known, such as syko, fluke, mutley etc, so why not make these S Stirrers use their correct name. John M John Meades

Hi John, for new menbers then yes I agree, thay should post in there real name.

I would hate to have to change mine now after all this time and my name is at the bottom of all my posts, Same goes for butch when he gets the chance to use the pc lol.

I for one agree with John Meades ---- if your going to write about a subject you should be prepared to add your name otherwise it should not be in print ---that goes for anything at all not just the tripe we have seen written on this site.

steve.

PS and no not just new members whats good for one is good for all !

level playing field----

:( but my name is on everyone of my posts

Hmmm not quite as simple as that though.

What if i set up a hotmail account as jmeades and joined here under your name how would people know i wasn't you? Not getting at you John, in theory it's a cracking idea but you just can't trust people are who they say they are. I think perhaps it's worth making the non ped forum have it's own member list (or something, i dunno there must be a way round it) but those members when they join will have to be approved by a moderator to use this forum before they are able to post, obviously anyone with a "dodgy name" won't get in for a start off, also people might then be a bit more forthcoming in identifying themselves with the moderators. As it currently is we can ask who they are and they can not reply to us and still carry on posting - this is what i want changed, there's new people posting on here now who have ignored that part of the rules.

Another thing i would like stopped is people using more than one name, same again i know we can't stop it because some couples both have seperate accounts but there are also people with 3/4 different names.

Next week there'll be changes, regardless.

:) from whats been put on here about ipp numbers, you should know who the people are so why don't the moderators just say if the ipp numbers are the seem, and add all the names they post under on this site, that way we can't be blamed for the post's we have'nt put on this site

I know I have a lot of sites were you have to be aproved to join were you HAVE to give person info or you cart even see the messesges on the site. that works well cos if with tony and me on the same Ip address even though were on differnt computers it means we can both join and use the sites

IP address's don't always work like that, you could have the same ip number as someone who uses the same isp as you down your street.

Please take your time to re-read the K9 Community Rules. They are easy to access - simply click on the link at the top of the page. There are rules which are particularly relevent to the discussion on this thread, and I'll paste them in for anyone who is unsure:

*Please keep it positive and polite. We do not censor opinions or ideas on our forums but we do take action against posts and/or topics that could cause unrest in the community beyond a civil and polite disagreement.

*You must not make personal attacks on other persons, organisations or users, either in public forums or private messages.

*You may not use profanity. It is unprofessional and offensive and will not be tolerated. You must not circumvent any word filters in place.

*Each user may only create one account. Anyone found creating additional accounts to bypass the warning system will immediately have all their accounts suspended.

Nigel may be away, but he has left provision for moderators to act in his absence. Anyone flouting K9 rules will be contained until such time as Nigel can be contacted.

Piglet, if you are also registered as w***whippet, I draw your attention to the rule about only creating one account. I suggest that you delete accounts other than the one you usually post with.

Of course I can comment, and explain what I mean. It's not difficult: "Piglet" has said in a previous post that he is "w***whippet". I quote:

ill tell u who the posting by wank whippets was it was me
If that's so, then he's registered twice. This is not allowed, as you can see by reading the rules. If he has two accounts on K9 then he should delete one, or cease using it. Each forum member may have only one account. If the posting rules are being broken, then moderators can take action

edited to say: We were obviously both posting at the same time, Piglet.

Thank you for being honest in that last post, and for saying that you will not use the other account. It was commendable of you to fess up to being w***whippet

Piglet told me who he was after his posts were deleted, i was happy to leave it at that, he's chosen to make himself know - w*** whippets is banned now anyway.
