Late last night I got a phone call from the doggie sitter and what she said was; I have noticed that Olive has got really dry flaky skin on her belly, teats and inner legs. What could it be? Could it be a protein deficiency? As I know that it can create flaky skin. Could it be atopic dermatosis? Should I try Olive on a different food a it could be food related? Could it be contact dermatosis? Can i try a treatment for it? Could it be stress related due to the puppies leaving her? Any reply's welcome thank you :) If you want a picture then just ask as I'm happy to post one.
**Olive is a 2 year old mini schnauzer hasn't had fleas/or to my knowledge**

I'd get her seen by a vet - they might want to take skin scrapings for analysis.

Could he be stressing over you being gone? I agree, though, take him to a vet. Is he scratching?

Yes she is scratching, I'm not sure if it could be because I'm on holiday but I have never left her before for holiday as she had the puppies...
