I do post from time to time about lurchers and whippets needing homes and yes we all know that there are always greyhounds needing homes.

Just look at this beautiful girl. Only 2 years old. What unusual coat markings she's got. Pic of her in her foster home.

You can find her and lots more of these lovely dogs looking for homes from this great charity on this website.Greyhound Gap

  until i read her details, i thought the pic was bad quality :b how beautiful  being so distinctive, i wonder if her breeder would recognise her and take her back?

I posted a message on Greyhound Gap asking how Amy was getting on. She is recovering from being spayed and is still looking for a home. If there is anyone out there who can give this gorgeous girl a home please get in touch with greyhound gap. It is not only Amy who needs a home, there are lots of other dogs there who need a home to call their own. :))

Got another update on Amy a short time ago...here is how shes getting on

Quick update on Amy's progress.

Her stitches came out late last week and she has fully recovered from her op.

She's extremely bouncy, waggy, happy and loves a good cuddle. She spends most of her time either playing or sleeping upside down.

She's clearly not spent very much time in a home before as things are still a little shocking to her (the vacuum is a scary thing )

Her only vices we can find are:

1. Her housetraining is ongoing. We have been "internal poop" free for about a week now, but the occassional wee still happens. This is getting much, much better though and I'm sure we'll get this sorted within the next few days.

2. CATS - are to be chased, yelped at, growled at and generally abused at every possible opportunity. She doesn't like hearing the cats in our house (safely behind locked doors!) let alone seeing them on walks. She is very keen and will try to chase whenever she sees one. If she was ever to be let off lead she would need to be muzzled I think. She is fine with small dogs, children etc - it's just a cat thing.

If there is anyone out there who thinks they can offer her a loving home then please call Greyhound Gap.

Quick update on Amy. The message is on greyhound gap

Well, Amy is getting better and better.

The housetraining is progressing and we've only had a couple of accidents in the past week. Shes friendly, playful and cuddly. She's still quite timid and has clearly been mistreated in the past, but is slowly learning to trust people and other dogs again.

She has learnt to walk pretty well on the lead, until she sees a cat. She is VERY keen and will definately need to be muzzled if ever let off lead.

All in all, shes getting to be a really nice dog now!

I'll keep you all posted on her progress and hopefully soon we'll get the word that she has found a loving home.

To set the record straight for all you that would rather make assumptions E-ma was not rescued she was given to greyhound gap because she wasnt getting on with my other dogs so therefore it wasnt fair for her to stay, she had always been timid since she came to me NOT because of me !!!!!!!!, she was never an indoor dog, always kenneled the trainer also confirmed this with me, therefore she will not be used to living indoors and household noises and she will not be fully housetrained, The trainer she was registered to would not take her back so i did the best thing for her and gave her to the greyhound gap knowing she would be well looked after. Anybody that thinks that it would have been better to give her to the first person that came along rather than the greyhound gap please PM me
