hey all,

must say im feeling a little smug today, last night on the way to the pub the car behind us very nearly ran over a little old pomerainan (sp?). so we pulled over and after stalking it for 20 mins i finally managed to get hold of him. he was a little old fella, deaf as a post very nearly blind and didnt have a tooth in his head...bless him.

so we took hin home, expecting to keep him for the weekend and then try the warden on monday when they open to see if he was being missed. just on the off chance i phoned the police and 9am this morning i get a very teary call from his mum. she has got 6 of them and didnt realise till bed time he was missing. so off we trot to take him home to a very grateful mum.

i only have one dog so forgive me if im wrong but how can u not realise one is missing?

glad it all turned out for the best and little leo is home, esp since mark turned out to be very allergic to him.

aww lucky you was there poor little bugger could have ended up being run over ,hhmmm iv missed one for about 10mins when iv locked one of them out the garden by accident but thats because they all move around while im counting heads  so think iv counted 7 but there is only 6 ,but 10mins out on there own and they bark there heads off to be let in ,poor little fella must have been so scared bless him good on you hun for taking the time to stop and get him :*

Poor little love could have been squashed.

Its easy to miss count especially if you have more than one that are similar. I let the twins Simba and Amber, Archie and Holly out together last thing at night. The other night I put the girls in their crate or so I thought. Put Archie in his crate and thought Simba had already gone in went to do my dinner for work and suddenly realised that something wasn't right. Went back in to realise Simba was in with Holly Archie was on his own but were was Amber? Quite happily mooching about on her own in the garden in the dark.

Good on you well done ! We often lock one of our terriers out in the backyard and dont notice him missing till someone goes out or arrives (he so wants to get in with the ferrets lol)

Aww good on you for taking the time to help him!! :))

That lady that lost him have been heart broken and especially as the condition the Pom was in.

Iv only got the two but only had Archey until a little while ago and Iv often let him out in the garden in the day and then forgot he's out there,

lol, after reading ur replys i cant understand better how u can miss one out. i love the one about the terrier trying to get in with the ferrets lol.

my little dana is glad he has gone, she searched the house then came into the livingroom with a very satisfied sigh, she isnt the most social of dogs bless her lol.

Ooops I forgot to update on my mousey Her name is Jasmine and she is sooo happy She was a little angry when I introduced a new mouse, Honey, to the bunch, but they get along great now. Pics to come Ive got pics of them singly, but none of them together yet.
