Hi all, I'm at my wits end. Alfie, my four year old lab has been discharged from hospital following a major operation to have parts of his lungs removed because of repeated pneumothorax. He's on tramadol and loxicom which we have no problem administering. He's sort of eating (chicken yes, kibble no) and, drinking. He's urinating and had a poo this morning. He just can't settle and we have this constant whining and countering. He is obviously uncomfortable. He won't let me near him with a cold compress.

He sounds like he might be sore? Maybe call your vet and see if he can have more pain relief?

Yes, those symptoms are seen in a dog with some pain. Do get him checked out by your vet.

Keep us posted .

Yes he will be sore and in pain. He's on tramadol and loxicom.
