Good weather today, a bit cold but dry with occasional sun, and a good turn out of both racing and trialling dogs. After all the rain in the previous week I was worried we would be running in a swamp but in fact the ground was just about perfect.

Racing was over 150 yrds at 1/2 yard per lb for the Brions Bronzes. Veterans & Puppies recieved a weight allowance according to age.

These lovely trophies are always very popular but the day belonged to Dave and Lyn Thomas who won both the lightweight and the heavyweight groups as well as clearing their young puppy Amber who I think will run as Conway Gem. She is 18lb and bred out of their own bitch, the rather brilliant Conway Lady, making her a half sister to Conway Celt. Well done Dave & Lyn

Lightweights

Heats: Daylight Katie, Tinkers Tyke.

Main Final

1. Conway Flyer (Xcess x WCRCh Flybynite)

2. Tinkers Tyke

3. Daylight Katie

4.Time Zone

Consolation Final

1. Written On The Wind

2. Half A Trice

3. One Mo Time

4. Jolly Jack Flash

Heavyweights

Heats: Conway Celt, Apache Jack Celt

Main Final

1. Conway Celt

2. Apache Jack Flash

3. Time Keeper

4. WCRCh/VC Mahler

Consolation Final

1. WCRch Elgar

2. Time & Chaos

3. Wizard

Dave's going fishing next week. I wonder if he'll catch anything.

Conway Gem is a lovely name.
