A glorious spring day was enjoyed by the whippeteers in Gloucester today, certainly a contrast to the cutting North winds we have endured of late.

We ran in two weight groups today over 150 yards at ½ yard per lb. Thanks to the kids who ride the bike week in and week out, it is much appreciated, India and Toby particularly and Oliver on occasions :thumbsup: .

There were a couple of extremely close and very exciting finishes, which kept the line judges on their toes' :sweating: . A big well done to Cheap Thrills on winning the Heavyweights :cheers: and WCRC Tinkers Moonshadow in the lightweights :cheers: .

A thoroughly enjoyable meeting and as usual, a crowd ended up in the pub for a natter and a drink. :cheers: :cheers:

I suppose you were all puppy loved up last night Judy - didn't think to suggest that you could have come here last night, and gone on to racing this morning. I know you wanted to rest the dogs up though - but we missed you today.

Thing is, I sent out fixture lists ages ago! Can't think where yours got to. As it is, we don't have any more racing scheduled til Oct but we are meeting on an ad hoc basis. If enough are interested we run, until the opens are up and running, or if the open is a distant one. Do phone to check I don't mind.

Im abit late replying but was a nice days racing, just need a few more dogs running so we can split into three groups, so come on people, come along to Glos and enjoy a leisurely afternoon of racing in good company :thumbsup:
