We were blessed with the sunshine yet again, and ran in 3 groups over 150yds. Veterans, heavyweight and lightweights. We seem to have quite a few veterans at the club at present, and running them separately meant that they needed to have semi finals! We started with trials for the youngsters, and those returning from injury.

Veterans

Heats Xcalibur, Duncton Crusader, Happy Days

Main Final

1st Duncton Crusader – Owned by Rob Hughes and Darcia Gingell (unbeaten in his 3 races) but we didn’t stop at the bridge on the way home Darc and Rob!!

2nd Daylight Katie

3rd Whiphaven Mighty Mouse

4th Xcalibur

Cons Final

1st Whiphaven Moondust (owned by Steve and June Jonigk)

2nd Over The Top

3rd The Frontline

Lightweights

Heats Devil’s Double, Millipede

Main Final

1st Devil’s Double – owned by Viv Thurman

2nd Bee United

3rd Menin Gate

4th Millipede

Cons Final

1st Xplicit – owned by Lesley and India Harris

2nd Magical Mayhem

3rd Whiphaven Mighty Smidge

Heavyweights

Heats Armistice Day, Fly The Wind

Main Final

1st Fly The Wind – owned by Geoff Cook

2nd Armistice Day

3rd Ypres

4th Mr Brightside

Everyone at Gloucester sends good wishes to Happy Days owned by Jane Rankin, for his op tomorrow. We wish him a speedy recovery :luck:

All the best to Happy Days hope you have a speedy recovery :luck:

Well done all. Nice to see some good youngsters coming along at the moment

Sending good thoughts to Smokey :huggles:

(w00t) looks like my Gloucester chums also had a great day, well done to all the winners

and good luck to Jane with Smokey :luck:

Congratulations to all the winners! We had a lovely day again ... Thanks very much everyone!! Hope to see you all again very soon

Thank you everyone who sent good wishes to my Smoky (Happy Days) who had a lump removed from his shoulder/neck junction. Not sure what it is at the moment but probably a mast cell tumour - which as tumours go, is not that bad a one to have. He had lots of skin removed around the lump and is now walking like a very bent banana. Only three hours after the op he was up (sort of) ate three chicken thighs and had a pee! The vet lets me bring my dogs round from anaesthetics which I think makes such a difference to their rate of recovery. I also got to see the lump - eeeeergh. Looked just like a small testicle!

Smoke hopes to be back racing as soon as the banana impression goes!

Sorry to hear this Jane, hope he has a speedy recovery.! Emma & Scott x

Oh poor Smokey, hope he's feeling better soon :huggles:

Glad he is up and about Jane, they're made of strong stuff aren't they?! :D
