Hi some advice please....

I have bumped into a man when out walking who has a Rhodesian Ridgeback a beautiful looking dog. Now while Tilly was in season he took quite a liking to her as you can imagine, and they ran around having fun....ok Tilly ran around he just followed..

Tilly has finished her season, and they have stayed firm friends..I was chatting to the guy today and he said he was thinking of getting another dog as a pal for his dog.

So would a Rhodesian Ridgeback and a whippet be a good match, as you have guessed he has a male, would a male whippet cause problems or should he get a female (speyed) or dont put them together??

I while back i was walking Tilly when someone warned me about this Rhodesian Ridgeback who was attacking other dogs.....turned out it was this one, but the collies had attacked him first, he has shown no aggression towards Tilly at all, ever..

Any advice would be welcome

A friend of mine has one of my whippets and then got a younger Ridgeback puppy, and they are best pals, they are both bitches though.

i know someone who has a ridgeback and an italian greyhound with no problems .

Sometimes a lady whose username is Isilwane posts on the showing forum, she breeds Ridgebacks and whippets in Australia - perhaps you could pm her to ask her advice?

:luck:
