hello, just to let you all know i took 'archie' to his first ringcraft class last night and he did absolutely brilliant - better than i though!

met loads of people many whippet lovers (he was the only whippet there and had two little mini versions - italian greyhounds who he seemed to get very nosey too!)

He walked very well and is getting the hang of standing and when i put him on the table to get felt up  he just didnt mind and stood enjoying it!

so we are gonna join and go weekly and then try and find some shows. cant seem to find any so far! so if anyone knows of some whippet shows then that would be great!

would it be ok to put him into a championship show!? even if hes not yet fully ready. am so nervous of doing it all wrong and making myself look like a spanner! :clown:

if wendy reads this just want to say thankyou so much for letting me have archie hes a lovely boy and cant imagine life without him (even though hes always on my sides and eating all the cats food and erm causing mayhem!)

well done Archie

Personally I think you would be better of at an Open show as the cost of Championship shows is very high . £22.00+ compared to £4.00and at open show you get rosettes not just bits of cardboard  ( and thats if you are lucky enough to get a place )

But hey , good luck :luck:

Ask Wendy ,she will guide you in the right direction ;)

Pleased to hear you had a good time at ringcraft.

Archie won't be able to enter any shows until hes 6mths, as this will be in Oct, hopefully there will be more Open shows locally.
