I just wanted to pay tribute to Ozzy Osbourne who sadly passed away yesterday, 2 weeks after playing his last ever gig in his home town of Birmingham...Quite poetic really... Here's one of my all time fave Black Sabbath songs, sadly still highly relevant lyrics today.

Rest in Peace Ozzy... another legend gone but I doubt very much he'll ever be forgotten!!

Indeed, gutting news. I was more a fan of his solo stuff (No More Tears is such a great track, especially with Zak Wylde's guitar solo), but what a loss. Black Sabbath, instigators of a genre, and what a legacy Ozzy has left behind.

I'm mourning the loss of the Prince of Darkness too. Given the life he had, and all his medical problems, though, he really was a survivor. Random connection: his ex-wife had a coffee shop in Newport, Shropshire, where he occasionally helped out - he once served my in-laws a cup of coffee. And my SIL was in the same class as his stepson from that marriage.

Sabbath were a huge part of my life growing up, as my dad listened to them a lot when I was growing up- & he still does!

Saw Sabbath in 2001, & Ozzy in 2002, & might have seen him more times than that, I attended a lot of festivals & gigs & I don't remember them all
