in brief changes @ the rising sun. as from next sunday 23rd jan 2012 we will be starting @ the earlier time of 10.30am this is due to the kids footballers starting @ about 12 noon we want to be away before they start if @ all possible.
we will be starting yds for pounds racing alongside the timed handicap for anyone that wants it. it will be ran in the same way as the timed handicap ie if u win u lose 3 yds or in this case u gain 3 lbs etc. as in the timed handicap racin for this will be £3.00 per dog with approx 50p taken out for club funds.
we will also be offering scratch racing if anyone wants it. u can enter on the day £1.00 per dog winner takes all. this will be ran after the timed handicap giving larger dogs the option to race in both if they choose to do so.
we will also be bringing back in dog of the month. this is how it works say january 4 instance, all the dogs that have won a handicap in january run off in a race off the mark they won @ on the 1st race of the following month in this case february. The winner is to receive a certificate.
graded racing will now take place on set sundays the last sunday of every 2 months will now be graded racing. so feb/april/june/aug/oct/dec will all have graded race days in them. gradeed racing is when dogs run off the same or similar marks in their heats generally making for some close racing. :thumbsup:
