RODGER AND DODGER

Rodger and Dodger are two 2 year old ex-racing litter brothers who were not fast enough for the race track. They have grown up together and have always been kennelled with each other, so we feel parting them now would be much too sad! As such they are looking for their forever home together. Rodger and Dodger make a stunning pair, being big with similar coat colours that are in very good condition. They are sure to draw a lot of attention to whomever adopts them.

Rodger and Dodger both have lovely temperaments, and are a pair of big softies. They adore their cuddles and head scratches, and are easy to keep contented. They are very friendly with people and quite relaxed in nature though do still have that playful puppy streak.

Rodger and Dodger have been well behaved with the other dogs they have met so far. They have not yet been tested with very small dogs or cats, but these can be carried out prior to adoption if requested.

Like most greyhounds, Rodger and Dodger will not need a huge amount of exercise. They will be content with two 20min walks a day and perhaps a chance to stretch their legs offlead in a safe area once or twice a week. They will also keep each other entertained and will play and romp together in the garden.

These boys have not yet been in a home environment, so new owners will need to be a bit understanding during the first few weeks and allow them time to settle in to the new environment. Really all they will need is time and patience and they will soon learn the house rules.

In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family with children, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the elderly. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.

This gorgeous greyhound pair is currently being kennelled in Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. They are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

If you are interested in fostering or adopting Rodger and Dodger, please email me on tamakin_84@yahoo.co.uk for our adoption application and information pack. Thanks!
