Ronnie, Staffie, DOB 10.09 – Godstone, Surrey

Homing Requirements: Ronnie needs a dog experienced family who can build up Ronnie's confidence and offer him a high exercise regime. Ronnie needs to be retained on a long line/extender lead with supervised meetings with other dogs until he regains his confidence. Ronnie has had dog friends in the past. Ronnie is proven around young children, but will need to be an ‘only’ pet.
Video: Ronnie loving his Jolly Ballhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONnsjL-1OB8&feature=youtu.be
His Story: Ronnie was found stray and homed shortly after in our rescue. Introduced to the family Labrador and became firm friends. However Ronnie cannot handle off lead meetings with strange dogs & has been kept away from dogs. Ronnie accidently got out of the house and chased a cat and ended up hyped & going for another dog. Ronnie lost his home as his owners lost faith in him. He is not reacting to dogs in the kennels. Ronnie is neutered, chipped and vax'd. Currently is in boarding kennels in Godstone, Surrey.
Advert: Ronnie is a people person! With respect to meeting dogs he needs confidence behind him and to be kept moving to avoid over reacting. He settles well in other dogs company when parallel meeting or with dogs he has been properly & slowly introduced to and built trust with. Ronnie has excellent recall. Ronnie has enjoyed being in the company of visiting children and has frequently stayed with his owner's daughter family with their Labrador. Ronnie is a good traveller, housetrained & non-destructive. Care around front door security will be needed and he must be retained on a short lead around streets.
Ronnie is a pale red good looking Staffie with a huge smile. He is just 4 years old. He gets a little leapy when excited, as Staffie owners understand, but can be brought into command in preparation for his lead. He loves to play with toys and interrelates well with people and children. A lovely boy who now needs a forever home who can take care and give him the confidence he has lost.
