ROSIE

Rosie is a 3 year old ex-racing greyhound lady who is now finished with her racing career and is looking for a loving retirement home. She has a black coat with tiny white speckles running through it that is in good condition and satin soft to the touch. She is an elegant, dainty girl at 26” to the shoulder and has a very pretty little face.

Dear Rosie was very unhappy in kennels, so she is now lucky enough to be moved to a foster home. Since going to her foster home, Rosie is a different dog. She is a lovely, waggy tailed girl who adores getting affection and is very quickly adjusting to the home life. Her foster family say she has settled in so fast it’s as if she was always there!

Rosie is happily sharing her foster home with 5 other female dogs which are collies and greyhounds. She is getting along brilliantly with them all and hasn’t put a paw wrong; in fact she enjoys their company and is learning a lot from them. She hasn’t been cat tested yet but this can be carried out prior to adoption if required. Rosie enjoys her daily walks and is just starting to show an interest in toys, this girl has bags of potential and would make a lovely family pet.

In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family with children, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the elderly. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.

Rosie is a real little gem and we hope she finds her forever home soon. She simply adores the home life and we don’t want her to go back to kennels if we can help it at all. If you are interested in this lady please get in touch – in fact you could say “ring a ring a Rosie!”

Rosie is currently being fostered in Co. Kerry, Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. Please note that adopters will need to travel to our nearest collection point to pick her up, and if you wish to meet before adopting her, she will be fostered in the Norfolk area.

Rosie is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

If you are interested in adopting Rosie, please email me on tamakin_84@yahoo.co.uk for our adoption application form and information pack. Emails are usually replied to within 24hrs. Thanks!
