It is with great sadness that I report the sudden death of Jack `Boy` Hogg. He is the father of Jacquie and Lisa, the owners of WCRCh BROWN EYED GIRL and DANCING QUEEN. JACK BOY as everyone knew him, was a great character when I was a young lad racing in the late `70`s. He always brought a big Fruit and Veg hamper to be raffled where ever he raced. I always enjoyed his and his families company. It was nothing to do with the fact that I had a `crush` on his eldest daughter Lisa !! Jack came over here to visit me in February 2003 and he spent nearly a week here helping me and going racing. We also took in the Coursing Festival in Clonmel. Every year his families Christmas card was one of the first to drop through my letterbox. While other friendships dwindled over the years, they never forgot me, even if we only spoke once a year.
To his wife Pat and daughters Lisa, Jacquie and Kelly, my deeepest sympathy. If it wasn`t for the time of year and availabilty of flights that are fully booked, I would dearly have loved to attend his funeral.
