does anyone know of any safe healthy commercial dog foods, if so please let me know i really dont have time to start cooking for dogs but if i have to i will they cant eat that rubbish anymore.

please help

thanks carole

Good for you not wanting to feed your dogs dangerous crap anymore!!

If you can i would reccommend feeding raw meat which is what nature intended.Failing that you could always try Burns or Arden grange.

hi

thanks for such a quick response

i have heard of those brands so will look out for them, what raw meat is best, i am a vegeterian so dont know a great deal about meat. and should i be adding rice and vegetables to this

thanks again carole

My dogs are fed on tripe, beef, lamb & chicken wings & supplemented with a good quality seaweed powder & yumega oil.Plenty of veggies of course.

No need to feed rice or pasta, but if you want too don't add it to the raw as it could upset the digestive system!

& they have been known to eat the odd rabbit that they've caught.

I have a friend who is a dog trainer and who has an animal feed shop. She is very concerned about food quality and ethical production and only stocks dog foods which, having visited the manufacturers, she feel confident are of the highest quality ... most of what you'll find in Pets at Home or for that matter your vets she will not stock ... she does recommend, amongst others, Burns, Skinners, CSJ, and Nature Diet. If I feed my boys a kibble they have Skinners Field and Trial Salmon and Rice which they love. HTH :)
