Salazopyrin Anyone?

My boy has been put on them for a month for his Haemorraghic Diarrhea (sp) and was just wondering if anyone else has had experience with them? I've read the side effects online (always worrying) but was wondering if anyone has had any success with them?

Hi Sarah

Yes great success! The only thing that got one of my girls over her bouts of colitis. If I remember rightly the main side effect was keratitis sicca ?sp (dry eye) but it never happened to my girlie, and the one course sorted her out. She went onto Hill's D/D hypoallergenic diet after, and that kept her right. Give Arnie a hug from us all xxx

Oh June, thank you so much! Ive been really worried about them because the side effects sounded horrible. He has had trouble for years and has been on Hills ID for around 4 years. They have recommended ZD for 6 weeks as the ID may not be okay anymore. Bless the little boy, he is so sweet and he seems to love the ZD.
