Right ok...before I start writing this I want to say that I am not accusing anyone of anything. I am merely just confused and would like to know the truth becuase the welfare of this dog is my main concern.

As most of you know there was a saluki that Dave and Carrie took in last week. The dog had been bought by them from a couple who had recieved the dog and could no longer take care of it. We were told that the dog was due to be put to sleep.

justlooking posted concerns on this board the other week and their messages were deleted however after seeing their concerns I now am maybe going to regret posting this. But I am worried about the welfare of this dog and want to know exactly where it is. I have seen over six ads for the same dog on different forums and ad web sites that were posted the day the dog went to its new home. As i stated before, I am accusing no one of anything...but I want to know what has happened to this dog.

The ads have been posted on different hunting forums and different information has been given on different forums. One forum says the dog is 12 weeks and on another it is 15 weeks. On one forum no information is known about the parents on another the parents are good workers. Now I understand why justlooking was asking a lot of questions. Another forum the same ad was placed for a saluki x greyhound, maybe this was a typing error but it was stated that the dog was a pedigree and had no papers. The ad was exactly the same as the others that were posted including the one on K9. All were for a tri colour male saluki.

On sunday I was told by someone who shall remain nameless that this dog was in fact not at a retired couples house...but was in fact in a Kennels. All I want to know is where this dog is and the welfare of the dog. That is my main concern. If people on here want to brand me a trouble maker then that is fair enough. But nothing in this message sounds like trouble making...It is merely a question to a lot of confusion surrounding this dog.

So far this dog has appeared in over 6 ads throughout the week. Does anyone know what has happened to this dog?

yes i got involved with several people at the end of all that bizarre episode and im none the wiser ....i :luck: hope the dog is ok

I don't think you are a trouble maker, just someone concerned about this dogs welfare...

It sounds very fishy to me too!

sounds a wee bit worrying :( hope this lad is ok

it is nice too read how some one is so concerned about a dog! good luck :luck: :luck:

Just to let you all know the pup has gone to a lovely home, and is being well looked after

Ok...but there are ads posted for this dog the day after he had gone to his new home...I was just wondering if the rehoming had not gone well and it still needed a home.

:)) cheers, glad he is ok

Dave was accompanied by someone from k9 to drop him off. He is safe and happy

Can we clear this doubt up, please, ty.

I stayed at Dave & Carries place last weekend.

The young saluki IMHO looked in very good condition, and the truth is if I had the space, and money would seriously considered it as a new pet.He is a lovely natured dog and has gone to a kennels near Peterborough.

I have , shall we say a hard heart, but to see the little fella leave Dave,s arms who was clearly upset, well it was a quiet moment. If you get my meaning.

Dave explained he was distant to the pup, because he did not want to be attached to the pup, and who can blame him, I can,t.

I respect K9ers concern about the pup, that is welcomed. In this case the saluki (I named Pharoh) spelling ? has appeared to of gone to a loving home with a mega area for a longhound to exercise.

I am a neutral observer, any questions or queries, are welcomed, please PM me.

Let me make this clear, if I thought for one second the dog was going to a bad place I would of intervened, I,m not a dogooder but like to see dogs looked after.

All the best ,

Mike

Thank you for clearing that up Mike. This is where the confusion has been cleared up. I was under the impression that the dog had been rehomed to a retired couple...however then was told it had been put in kennels. When I saw the advertisement I was worried that the little thing still didn't have a home. Glad to hear that hes gone to a good home where he can get lots of exercise. (w00t) (w00t)
