My printer has finally done the first batch of Sam the Patchwork Whippet books for me. "Sam Goes to Tea with Lily and Alfie" is the story of a time when Sam went to tea with two new friends - a blue whippet named Alfie and his half-sister Lily, an elderly but elegant collie.

The first of 7 adventures, `Sam's` stories will appeal to the young - aged 7-10 and young at heart. This is my first children's storybook, and I hope it is well received. As a work in progress, any little glitches will be ironed out as I go along but I am pleased with it!

30 pages and A5 size, `Sam's` book comes complete with actual pics, plus clip-art sketches, and costs £3.25 with £1.25 per copy going to the JR Whippet Rescue. A list of sales will be given to Lynn or Margaret. I will also donate 5 books to both Rescues for their tables at shows.

I have done the whole thing myself, which has been a challenge and labour of love! Please support Sam's memory and the Rescue, if you can! (Xmas is around the corner - a perfect gift for the young hound lover!!) :thumbsup:

Many thanks to all who supported the "Sam" books! All are now gone from the first print but if demand continues, I will get more done. I hope to do a series of 5 or 7 so there will be more whippety fun comng your way!

I did feel sad that no more than 2 people showed interest in the bookmarks especially as I used, with permission, member's dogs photos but ah well....at least the children's bookmarks went well on ebay and raised some much needed funds for Scruples.
