Six of the clubs top bend dogs were due to race at Romford for the re-homing of retired greyhounds but unfortunately Gary Farmer's charge was unable to run owing to Gary being held up in a traffic jam. Nevertheless the other five whippets did the sport proud. Therer was no more than one and a half yards between all five of them, Silver Lady came home first with Seven Eleven and Red Reign 1/2 a yard behind and Ruby Rockett and In Dreams just behind them, the crowd loved it which made it all worthwhile.
While I am on line I would like to congratulate Sing For Me and Another Spot for taking first and second place in the Fed Open at Devon also Vicky & Mick's two charges firstly Mick's Gem for his fine performances on the first week-end of racing and Gem's Lad who also won several classes.
