Just before Christmas we bought a couple of humane mouse traps as we have mice in the garden and coming to the house to pay a visit - So far we have cought about 8 and have released them in the local park (unfortunately Scooby chased and killed one before it got a chance to get away)

Attached is a photo of Scooby looking very interested in one we kept overnight in a ventilated "Roses" tub ...

Cracking pic :D Looks like Scooby is saying "what's on the roses tub Mum"?

When we are not looking he tries to knock the jar onto the floor in the hopes that the top will come off.

We've got a humane trap too & whenever we set it all the cats & dogs know when it goes off. They hear that noise when it goes off & queue up to see the poor little mouse inside. Usually I can just let it go out the back but if there are cats around I keep mousie until later & then put it in the shed where it's got a chance of surviving. In winter hubby has been known to leave digestive biscuits in there for them- soft tart!!

Scooby looks like a great dog. Reckon our Freddie could look a bit like him when he's older. What mix does he have to create such a handsome mouse-curious dog?

Hello Paula,

Scooby is a Bedlington / Whippet X and he is 3 years old and was sent to a rescue kennel when he was 4 months old because his owners thought he was a going to be a bigger dog.

Do you have any photos of Freddie?
