:D For those budding Judges out there..........

Here as promised is the second class of 6 dogs for you to place into 1st - 5th.

(Sorry Karen haven't got enough front/ rear pics )

Right im gonna have a go this time:

1: C

2: F

3: E

4: B

5: A

Not gonna have a go at critiques just so not to look a complete Babybel!

Remembering i've only been in this game 5 months!!!

 Like being at shool, NO THIS IS MUCH MORE INTERESTING.

D Nice extended movement long and low.Not keen on him stacked.

E Like the look of him stacked, second on movement to D.

A Could extend a little more on the move, looks short in the loin stacked.

B

F

C

:teehee:

Meant to say school, getting to carried away with this key board

Doesnt help i cant spell either

No experience, no idea................Here are the results from the crappy judge in Stroud.....

1. A

2. C

3 B

4. E

5. F

6. D

On having a good second look im not sure about my answers but for some reason D's undercarriage doesnt look right, doesnt seem to have much of an arch.

Maybe thats the correct way????!!!!!!!!!! Maybe its a world beater????!!!!!!!!!! But does look a little odd when stacked

That does make things more difficult. The only dog here that keeps his topline shape on move (F) is lifting.

Well, here we go;

1st...A...lovely elegant bitch, moving slowly shows reasonable reach

2nd..D...would like to see more tuck up, nice front movement, bit of concern re- his hind legs movement and the way his croup slopes on move.

3rd..B...nice bitch, would like to see more reach of a neck, looks like she may move nicely , but cannot see properly from this angle

4th...E...too upright front, nice movement, but totally looses shape of his topline on move

5th...F...slopping croup, lifting front legs

6th...C...lifting front legs far too much, may look lot better if moved at slower pace

Boy these are much harder :sweating: , I liked the black dogs more, the white ones look bigger (w00t)

Oh well here goes :)

1st B Looked balance dog, with good topline both standing and on the move :- "

2nd F

3rd C

4th A

5th D

6th E

:huggles:

much harder when you have to judge the combination of movement and stacked. Oh well - just for fun

C, F, E, B, A & D

1st D - looks overweight on the stack and not exactly pleasing but stride is long and low and correct in my eyes

2nd E - Front assembly looks straight on the stack but reach and drive on the move are good.

3rd A - movement pic is not at full stride so a little difficult to tell about the movement but nice shape on the stack, although length of neck looks a little exaggerated. Could upgrade this bitch with a better movement shot.

4th B - can't see movement pic well enough to comment but looks ok. Topline a bit flat on the stack

5th/6th - F/C - steep croup creates over propulsion in the rear and lift in the front, like a speedboat with its front lifting out of the water at take off

Surely F only looks like it is lifting a bit high because it is moving up a slope! which you can see from the 2 feet on the ground.

I think F probably has the best movement :- "

You may have a good point there Jo but I will justify my low placing of F by saying I still don't like the exteme croup or the long hock or lack of second thigh on the stack.

However - it is only an exercise and we are only judging static pictures. Put this dog in front of me in the flesh and I could feel entirely differently about him/her.

:D Thats the problem isn't it! I see what you mean about the long hocks, although I can't see the croup any more extreme than most of the others (bar A & C)

I keep changing my mind so much I haven't even done it yet!! (w00t) Just as well I'm not a judge, or it could be a week long event!

Hmm all these sillhouettes reminds me of something... :- "

Millee , dont you think if you put a copy of the WHIPPET breed standard on here before you put these pics on might have helped some of our `newer` people :- "

then at least they would know what to look for , eg , front movement

Just a  thought

Cheers Jax, i had the kennel club breed standards window open, but i accidently keep closing it
