after the w/e i am concerned dogs are being seeded when they dont need it.

mr sheene is extreme right and ended up in the red. i spoke to an official to monitor the race and expressed my concern.

luckly bentley missed the lids and crossed behind. if he had trapped he would of taken the lot out.

seeding a dog that doent need it, goes straight up the middle could backfire if you get a true sided to either the left or right as it will come out and take its side.

all i am looking for is a safe fair race.

NOTE! i am not getting at anyone just looking for safe fair race.

Same applies, when a dog needs seeding, and isn't David. Can cause problems in a race. All boils down to people at club, taking note and giving correct advice

FACT people will just seed a dog David to get an advantage (safe run)

i seen Bentley check and run around the back of the dogs, shame as it costs you a race at times

as long as hes OK

I have been to some opens and told the com my dog is x right and to be told we don't do extreme so when u get to your race you have to tell the other person that's at the side your dog runs just to get a shrug of the shoulders then my dog takes there's out so what do you do then

I've had dogs that run to right and left luckily pasha runs straight thank god

Wouldn't it all be so much easier if the dogs all just ran in a straight line LOL :sweating:

wot really annoys me is when people say they seed their dogs to keep them out of trouble. how does that work exactly? i have a severe right hand runner who goes right even in a slip between me and peter so obviously we seed right then someone cud seed theirs right supposedly to keep them out of trouble well if it was in a race with mine it wud get into trouble as mine wud go right. ive seen dogs seeded left one week right the next, if it was pups i cud understand but not adults. didnt thereused to be something on your bwra card regarding seeding? i cant remember

 You're SOOO right! Years ago, when I was running a little 17lber she was a profound left - hand runner and as she was so light, consequently was nearly always out of Black or Yellow. I had to seed her left and it had to be put on my B.W.R.A. card and signed by an official, which it was. Nowadays, some folk don't seem to know which way their dogs run and are changed from week to week. The whole point of seeding is to avoid collisions with dogs at the traps, which is a good thing, but it should be noted on all membership cards as it used to be. At the moment, both of my runners are profound right-handers and i always tell them this at the weigh-in, but if they have no choice but to come out of the Red trap, because of their weight, then there's nothing to be done and mine are losing yards because of it. It's something that you have to accept, hard as it is!
