Hi,

Due to a few problems we are having with the IP address that K9 is using we have decided to move to a new server this weekend.

There will be no need for you to change anything.

I'll close the existing board probably Friday afternoon/evening. The new site should be running very soon after that but it may be a day or so before the new IP address resolves correctly and hence you being able to see K9 on the new server.

I'll do everything I can to get K9 back as soon as possible.

(w00t) Nooooooooooooooo had better get some dvd's in then coz you know what happened last time :b

Just wanted to remind everyone that this move is still planned for late this afternoon Monday 25 October.

The forums will close at about 4.30 PM while the database is moved. The new server should be operational within a few hours. We have tried to minimize the delay for the new IP address to be resolved. In reality this means that you MAY be able see the new sever within 10 minutes but possibly it could take up to 2 days for your ISP to update it's DNS records (you will not see the new server until they do).

(w00t) (w00t) could take TWO DAYS???? (w00t) (w00t)

How am I going to survive that long? Here's hoping it goes smoooooothly and quickly :luck:

VERY glad to have it back! Missed this thread ... and was horrified when I couldn't get through to k9 last night! (w00t)

It took a bit longer than I would have liked but all seems ok with the new home.

Glad k9's back, was in bed at 9 last night lol

I think that's what you said last time & look what happened :sorcerer:

Anyway, I'm really pleased to be back - my post earlier today was from a customers PC... It's only just now (10:45PM Tuesday) that Freeserve has updated it's nameservers and is looking at the right IP address  .

Appologies if you've been waiting a long time for K9 to be back - I took the advise of the server owners about the 'best' & 'quickest' way to make the change... I'll know next time :teehee:

Vicky do you have to be so brazen? :clown:
 On my own!!!
It has been said that 70% of women own a vibrator. I suppose it is an alternative word to use for Husband, Spouse, Him in Doors etc.....
