What a weekend we had at Shanes Castle Game Fair. We are home tonight, very tired , sunburned, but happy. The weather was beautiful, and the commardrie was 100%. Congratulations to all the winners on both days, and thanks to Matt Lee and Sheamus Irwin for all the hard work that was put into organising the dog show. The judges done their duty on the day, Rose, John, and the terrier Judge, and of course Bluebell was there to take the photos and record the event. What would we do without you. I also had the pleasure of meeting Albert Titterington , a very nice welcoming gentleman with a big responsibility on the the day. A job well done Albert. You and your committe have brought so much joy and relaxation to so many families over the last 2 days. There was something for everybody. We ended both days with the wine flowing. On day one compliments of Bluebell Deidre Mc Coy, and day 2 Dukie, Janet Duke, any my husband John opened a bottle during the day. All we were short off was the strawberrys and cream. We had a little bit of luck on both days. On Saturday at the pedigree show we got Reserve with our beautiful Whippet pup Goldie and Goldie also got a 3RD in the puppy class today. Our Lucher "Miss Amber " got 2nd in her class also today. The highlight of my life to day was when I was approached by 2 hunky men, Carl Kerr and Gus Angus for some factor 50 to keep them from getting sun burned. They stripped off their shirts in front of me, and Boy did I rub that cream into their backs, I thought all my birthdays came at once. Men you have certainly made an old lady very happy. I think Big John was jealous. He started to huff, but thats nothing new. A great weekends fun was had by all and we are looking forward to seeing you all again at Birr Castle please God.
