Hi everyone. You may have read about Sheba in another thread. I now have need of your views on choice of food. Apart from her seizures, Sheba has recently been diagnosed with a little arthritis in one of her feet. This isn't going to cause that much of a problem to her. She will still run as and when she feels like it. It will be necessary to restrict her somewhat however. She has been on Redmills Racer food which is quite high in protein. We would like to put her on another all in one which is lower in protein .Racer is 27%. Can anyone suggest a GOOD quality alternative?

Many thanks as ever

Chris

Sorry to read about Sheba's arthritis. Fred has arthritis in one of his toes and an elbow. We can't go on long walks anymore (by order of the vet), only shorter ones, as longer walks will exacerbate it. He has quite a pronounced limp as a result. The Metacam works wonders on bad days, but I try not to give it every day. He also wears a bioflow collar, but I haven't seen much improvement since he's worn this really, although others swear by it. Also have him on the glucosamine,MSM and Chondroitin mix which I think does help a little.

Not sure what food to recommend. Sorry...I know that was your original question...just providing some additional snippets if needed.

Edited to add that I've just now read your other thread. I hope her seizures improve....she's going through the wars a bit isn't she. :luck:

If you normally feed Red mills why not try their red mills tracker it is for resting or convalesing greyhounds and has 20% protein. My greyhound William has it as he cannot tolerate the protein in the racer we tried him with other feeds but he wouldn't eat them then someone suggested the tracker and he loves it

Nothing to add. Just want to wish her luck. :luck:
