Ewwww!! Thats horrible, I would have freaked! Ours get ticks fairly often- theres plenty of deer in the woods where I walk in the summer to avoid the adders. I pull them off with a tick puller (easy to see in the whippets' short coats) but they take lots of killing.. they really dont squash very easily :xoh god ticks! Please say its long haired ones, not had one on the dog yet. Not too many deer round here. Only ever found one on our old cat. They totally creep me out, and i have to admit i would find it difficult to attempt to get one off myself (my dad got the cats one off). I got them on me once while camping, about twenty or so, it was one of the worst couple of days i've ever had. Euuuggghhh
