Just thought I'd try starting a thread for Aussie show results!

As promised more details on the win by Mark Andrews MIKSHAR WITCHES BREW on Sat 30/07/04.

Magic took BIG and Runner/upBIS at Kempsey & McCleay KC.

Judges were Mr John Thompson (Hound Specialist) for Group and Mr K McCarthie for General Specials.

This is the link to the Mikshar website to see a picture of Magic

Does anyone have the results for Darwin Royal?

I have been told that Jo Krammer won BIG but don't have any details.

Fantastic Idea!!! Nice to see some Aussie content. Love to see results from all the States. More pics of Aussie dogs too!

o:)

Welcome roshwen. Are you an Aussie? The more, the merrier :D Would you like to tell us who you are?

Many thanks for the welcome :) Certainly am an Aussie. A fellow Victorian was telling me about this place so thought I'd come and take a look. (Very impressed I am too...lots of interesting information and gorgeous dogs to look at - especially the divine Connie!).

I'm a newcomer to the whippet show scene. Purchased our first whippet as a pet in March last year and have since added another bitch and a dog to the family (the couch is definitely too small!!!). I'm well and truly hooked and desperate to learn as much as I can about this wonderful breed of dog and about showing them, so I'm thoroughly enjoying myself browsing through all the postings.

Ah - you will find yourself hooked in no time! This is a great place and the people are wonderful. I find I have to check in morning and night and sometimes in the middle of the day if I'm home! Addicted!

What kennels do your whippets come from? Can you post some pics?

:D Welcome Roshwen. Like Lana, would love to see pics of your whips :D

Thanks again for the welcome guys.

This is a pic of my latest edition, "Jasper". He's a Byerley dog.

My girls are from the Alltalk Kennel. Unfortunately the only pics I have of them are "happy snaps". Am sending one anyway. :D

Roshwen any results from melbourne?.

Yes thanks for the pics and the info Roshwen. I love to look at whippets and pedigrees from everywhere :D If you wanna have a look at mine you can click on the link in my signature. I apologise, but the website is sorely in need of an update but I can't do it myself. None of my current young 'uns are on there. But I will be in Melbourne at the Congress so will hopefully meet you there.

I have met the Byerly boys before and Sue Delaney has been very good to me each time I have visited Melbourne. :)

Whippets are to be judged at the Brisbane Royal Show this Tuesday. The judge is Mr Chan Weng Woh (Malaysia). Has anyone exhibited under him before or seen his judging of whippets? Anything known?

I have sold him 2 whippets. Send me Qantas First class & Hilton accomadition, & I show for you. Plus a fee of cause.

So Cartman, are you telling me he can be bought??

Other than buying 2 dogs off you- is he any good as a judge? Where has he judged whips before and what has he done?

ps would you settle for Jetstar and a bed in the shack down the back :p

Only if Jetstar was a direct flight.

I think he has an eye for a dog. Last time he was here, he tried to buy one that was not for sale. He did not know that but I was happy with his attempt. He then. this was at a show, came to me re. a whippet he saw. He asked if I could buy it on his behalf. I tried, but could not. I breed that one too. He did not know that at the time, only on the movement & shape.

I dont think he can be bought. But like judges that have been here so often, they know a lot of people. An eye, yes.
