You have done a good job of stacking him   Do not worry about the scars, thats something you can't help :D :D

:D do u think hed come anywer dawn  as i dont have a clue what the judges would be looking for

At a fun dog show it doesn't matter if the dog is over sized or has marks on. Just go along and enjoy it - most people at fun shows don't even stack their dogs  Many Whippets have scars on them and are shown at the top level anyway ;)

Go for it Nicky..he is one good looking boy  :luck: :luck:

Course you should take him along, you have him standing really well on the table. My Sparky always has little nicks, he's a great one for running through bushes, go along, enjoy it, and tell us all about it. Good luck

why don't you go along to a local family dog show or companion show, there must be some in your area, look in your local paper,in the vets etc.Companion shows are held under the Kennel club rules, there are usually about four-five pedigrees classes and the winner from each class goes to complete to win best in show. The dog must be pedigree but does not have to be registered with the Kennel Cub.Then you have the family classes or noverty classes as some people might call them e.g best crossbred, best smooth coat, long coat ,best movement etc and then all the first winners of the family classes complete for best in show or best family dog. Also you pay on the day usually some take entries just befor hand or pay in the ring.

Hope this helps

He is a little stunner. You should take him and have some fun. After all we are supposed to enjoy them.

Nicky Blue is very handsome, I'd say go for it, we have done some companion and fun shows and you don't have to be an expert take it from me (cos I'm not  ) they are great fun, go for it girl

go and have fun! we always take the best dog home :huggles:

IMO a whippet with small scars is a whippet who runs free off the lead, which is exactly what a whippet should do!!

he is on the big side but he is still a very nice boy, you could have loads of fun with him :luck:

Don't worry about the odd mark or two. Stan won his class at the Whippet Club Championship show with staples in! Whippets are allowed honorary 'war' wounds.

Somone once told me that a whippet without scars is one that hasn't had any fun in his life!! :p

Have a go :luck: - he's a fabulously glossy, muscly, healthy looking dog in top condition - you must be very proud of him
