Went to Shugborough Game Fair Today. Had a lovely day out - Well organised by the Manor Lurcher Club.

We had a great day.Was dead pleased for Shirl with Ricco.

My Spikey looks lovely in your piccie.We cam back with 3 2nds in showing and a 2nd in racing,so well pleased.

You sound like a very sore loser to me. :angry:

It's not about winning and bringing home a rossette or a trophy, (although it's lways nice if you do) it's about going out and meeting like minded people and having a bit of a laugh with your mates too.

I thought it was a great show.Well organised,and a nice atmosphere.We all had a good time,and i liked the judge,but then he picked my dogs out 3 times But as you say Deb,it should be about getting out,having fun,a laugh,and not getting uptight about the whole thing.It,s not Crufts

I'm sorry that you feel like that Rachel, but we try every time to put on a good show that people enjoy. The lineup on both days was very strong with some excellent dogs being shown. All the judges used over the weekend were lurcher owners with breed knowledge. At the end of the day, if every judge picked out the same dog at every show what would be the point in anyone even going?

Just to say that Blaze and I enjoyed our day greatly (Saturday),good team work by the club made sure everyone enjoyed themselves.Although I did not show I was round the ringside both days and heard no complaints,the coursing and racing was good fun and in spite of Saturdays weather and helicopters next to us on both days we all had a brilliant time.Well done Manor lurcher team,look forward to more days out with you.

Hi,

I heard no comlaints at all,everybody was in good spirits.My husband pointed out that even at the end of the day,for the straight racing when everybody was ready to go home,the organisors were still lighthearted,and courtious.You cannot please everybody all the time.Could i please ask if we could have a sighthound class for Whippet,Greyhound owners etc.It would generate a bit more income,and gives me a chance to show my Greyhound :thumbsup: From one happy winner at your show

do you mean the ones taken by the club? these were taken by someone who was showing their dogs at the show, not a club member. the ones taken by the club won't be put on here, they'll be on the club website once i get finished with sorting out the qualifiers and update it.

Thanks Amanda and Emma for your kind words.

As i've said before, i'm not a professional photographer it's just a bit of a hobby. I'm still learning how to use my camera.

If i'm at other shows which Manor are running i'm more than happy to take pics (i need all the practice I can get). Although, I wouldn't want to promise anyone I could get a decent pic of their dogs - at the minute, it's a case of trial and error.

Sorry, but the pics I took were of my friends dogs. The only other pics i've got of anyone else's dog are the reserve puppy champ and reserve show champ, posted below - are any of these yours?
