Morning all,

Im looking at getting a new dog but im unfamiliar with the breed iv had collies/Spaniel and labs previously. Has anyone had a Siberian Husky x with a red setter before or familiar with the breeds and let me know what there temperament and trainability are?

Neither of the two breeds would behave much like your gundogs did. The closest would be the Red Setter and I don't think anyone has used them for field work for many years. They can be very excitable and scatty.

The Siberian Husky really needs a job of work to do. Preferably involving lots of running! Take a look at Canni Cross. Lots of people choose the husky breeds to take part in it. They cannot take part until they are fully grown so you would have to do a lot of training while waiting for your puppy to mature.
