So I don't really take Bax around dogs much (he's not really a "dog" kind of dog.) But with winter cutting our walks short I decided to take him back to basic training at his old stomping grounds. He's taken almost every course they offer here multiple times, knows and loves the trainer, and got his Canine Good Citizen here. Anyway, he knows and loves the place. took him Thursday.
Friday night he was UNBEARABLE. whining, jumping off the bed, digging under the bed. I got up, fed him three hours early, took him on a walk, stuffed blankets and boxes under the bed. to no avail. my JERK of a dog RUINED my Saturday morning sleep-in by refusing to let me sleep past 2 am. I was so pissed. I was so mad at him.
Guess who has a stomach bug today and had a 100% legit reason for getting me up early in the morning? THIS DOG. he's had vomiting and diarrhea all day. Poos are only just now starting to firm up but I'm betting on another sleepless night. albeit one where I'm SLIGHTLY more sympathetic.
Poor guy, I feel like such a shitty dog mom for being so mad at him last night.
