My lab x springer had an abscess under her tummy in July 2014. She had an op but did not heal properly, and developed a sinus tract. Another op in October 14 to remove sinus tract then again in March 2015. The vet then tested thyroid which showed low T4 levels and prescribed thyroid tablets. It is now September 15 and still not totally healed. She was 5 when it started, now 6. The vet is talking about yet another op, which I am very reluctant to put her through it again. She is very well in herself, if this is lethargic then I need to look out!
Does anyone have any advice? Apart from the thyroid tablets I have started her on coconut oil, she has been on it about a month. There has been a little improvement but still will not heal.
