There isn't much too this other than my 11 month old won't sleep outside of her crate.
Since the day I got my border collie she's always slept In her crate except from just a handful of times when she was little.
The problem is Id much rather she'd sleep outside her crate with me. Her crate is in my room and I'm just looking for ideas on how to make that happen. Any suggestions?

Personally, if she loves the crate that much I would keep it. But if you really want rid of it, take out whatever bed she uses in the crate and put it in the place the crate was in, just without the crate. She might be unsettled for a night or two.

Why is it you want her to sleep outside her crate? Personally, I would accept that that is where she is happiest and so it's right for her. She's only young so it's important that she feels secure.

I agree with above posts ...my dogs love a covered crate and will queue up to get in.... the door is never closed but they love the security of it ....

I think you have to let sleeping dogs lie here! A dog will chose where they feel safe and comfortable- and in this weather cool enough. I have a cocker spaniel that wants to cuddle in the winter but won't sit next to anyone even on the floor while it's so hot!
