I'm already up and on my way to town for my hair lasering appointment * ouch *

What are you doing today?

Hmmm, might be a trip to Birmingham to see my mum... not decided yet

Walking the dogs and probably catch up with ironing. I always find the period between Christmas and New Year strange. I just want New Year to come and to get on with it, bit odd really because I could be getting on with it now.

what part of brum you off to strix?? worked there for 12 yrs, based in tyseley a41 right next to the railway museum and just across the road from the workingmens club

Well it seems we're not going to Four Oaks after all - mum's not well :(

I am still in bed on my laptop - have had brekkie in bed and 3 cups of tea!

I really need to get up!

Today has been a vet day I'm afraid, and it will be followed by antibiotics for Molly Moo. She appears to have cystitis (at least we HOPE it's cystitis, as everything else is a lot more complicated and involves longer term treatment) so she's had a jab of antibiotics and has a week's worth to start in the morning. If we don't see any improvement by Wednesday we need to go back with a urine sample (how hard is bloody collecting urine samples from animals!).

Unfortunately my head tom Billymonster also may need vet attention this week because he appears to have pillow foot in his back feet. That's a sort of dermatitis that makes the pads of the foot swell and go purple, dry, tender and mushy in texture and although veterinary science have no idea what causes it, steroids and doxycycline seem to go some way to controlling it. I had hoped that he wouldn't need to go to the vets but he's developed a sore on one pad that doesn't appear to be healing so I may have no choice :(

Other than that, it would have been my grandmother's birthday today but she is no longer with us, so that all makes me a bit sad.

Crappy day for you then....

I hate it when the pets are ill... its so hard to help them. :(

Hopefully the AB's will sort Molly out :luck: I used to get a urine sample from my Ridgeback bitch by waiting till I knew she really needed to pee and then making leg holes in the top of a carrier bag and tieing the handles over her hips with a scarf or old piece of bandage- I usually managed to collect a sample without upsetting her and gave my neighbours a giggle at the same time :-

Great. 4 hrs with H in a walk in centre with a suspected urine infection. Can she have a cup of water? No, you can get water out of the toilet, and if you leave, you lose your place

HOW ANGRY do you think I might be?
