does anyone know anyone that breeds a true line of theese? I would have thought that the line would have moved away from its roots by introduction of new blood. I have a bitch who has been described as looking smithfeild but im sure as she came from Mr Kidd shes just lurcher lurcher cross.

the very same fellow! he uses a friend of the familys dog reguarly called ali for stud. a fine coursing dog. We also have my bitches half brother; who he desperatley tried to buy back. I plan at some point to breed them back to one and other. I dont know mr kidd at all tho the fact we have two of his dogs is purely down to them being Ali's relations. bloomin good workers with good temperments.

cheers shes alright lacks a little stamina but other than that cant fault really. Intrestingly the link i posted at top of this conversation is advertising in countrymans weekly this week a litter of pups. They sound intresting!
