Right, Im just going to watch this year and was planning on catching the train but typicallly just my luck that the train line is apparently down between Burton and Bham!...the earliest i couldve got there is 10am on a coach to new street then train to international. They are not laying any extra coaches on espesh for crufts...

so we are going to drive and just wondered if the car park is a different one to exhibitiors? we drove last year as was showing and parked but we mustve been in a car park just for exhibitiors i presume? I didnt really notice as i was too busy faffing :b

Also, as im hoping to take some piccies what are the rules regarding this ? Does it have to be when the the judging has finshed i.e In the winning line up?

I can't help sorry...but I'm going to go and check train times now. I forgot about the usual Sunday engineering works. I'm only travelling from Coventry though, as I'll be there for the weekend anyway, so it should be fine. 10 mins to Birmingham International, a quick skip across the concourse...and I'm in YAY  Good luck with your journey.

I've noticed lots of people taking photos once the final line up is in place. With the poor lighting one usually needs a flash and it wouldn't be fair to distract the dogs beforehand.

All usual exhibitors who are there without there dogs are required to fetch and carry for others who do have their dogs with them. (w00t) Cups of tea to be fetched at regular intervals etc. No relaxing/chatting/just sitting watching is allowed. KC rule 999.c

There is also that other well known Kennel Club rule that anyone who has a bitch which gains her Junior Warrant since the last Crufts has to bring everyone a Creme Egg.

Ahhh, I wondered why my 17 year old son bought me a box of 6 the other day! I thought it was for mothers day and scoffed the lot, I now realise they were meant to be shared out.

Serious answer ;) - everyone parks in the same carparks, exhibitor or spectator. Unless as an exhibitor you have paid extra for a special drop off pass. I did last year but forgot to do it this time. Fingers crossed that it's not raining (the joys of having a white dog! )

You can take pics with no flash whilst judging is in progress(they may turn out very dark) When the judge picks her 5 class placings and they are giving them their rosettes you can then take pics with flash. The main thing to think is you should not distract/affect the dogs while they are being judged.
