I understand RSPCA do put healthy dogs down; I don't know how long they keep trying to rehome them?

Blue is a young adult whippet, brindle, http://www.rspca.org.uk/allaboutanimals/pe...f/27464/rehome/

Ashley Heath, Ringwood Didn't get on with other dog in his last home. At same centre, see saluki/sloughi type Veron, light fawn male, about 1 year, friendly

http://www.rspca.org.uk/allaboutanimals/pe...f/28615/rehome/ and 3 greyhounds Annie, Whitey and Brindle

Jetro is a lightfawn wirehaired lurcher, quite small, in N Staffordshire. he's about 4 years old. Ref no 26381

http://www.rspca.org.uk/allaboutanimals/pe...f/26381/rehome/

"Jetro is a great dog who is very affectionate and faithful. He needs an experienced owner as he has issues over possessions, and he tends to bark when left alone."

Skippy is a young adult shorthaired lurcher, lovely brindle colouring, in Birmingham.

http://www.rspca.org.uk/allaboutanimals/pe...f/30050/rehome/

"Skippy is a gorgeous young lad, he is very friendly and enjoys company. He is good with other dogs and appeared to be good with cats although we would like to try him again. He loves to play and is good being grommed. We feel Skippy would be ok to live with children all ages."

also in Birmingham, Pippin about 2 years old looks like possibly a ridgebackxwhippet! http://www.rspca.org.uk/allaboutanimals/pe...f/30043/rehome/

she's shy but a live wire when she comes our of her shell

Hero is a black and white x-racing greyhound in Coventry. ~3 years old, good temperament http://www.rspca.org.uk/allaboutanimals/pe...f/31597/rehome/

Ransom, 4 year old brindle shorthaired lurcher male in Taunton

Only Ransom is still availale now.

unfortunately I'm sure there are dogs that have joined the ranks of hounds wanting homes since I compiled that list. As I wrote, feel free to add to it.

According to something I read, each RSPCA branch has its own policy. Some operate no-kill rescues, others put dogs down in order to make space for new recruits. I don't have any first hand knowledge of RSPCA shelters.
