So I went vegan and I put Bax on vegetarian kibble. He's doing great on it but I recently went pescitarian for health reasons and figured if I was broadening my diet why shouldn't bax?
His teeth have also gotten so bad on the vegetarian stuff I'm taking him in to get anesthetized and get them cleaned per vet recommendation and I'm wondering if all the carbs and grains in the vegetarian stuff isn't murdering his teeth. (don't worry, also getting dehydrated chicken feet for some more natural tooth brushing once he gets them cleansed)
He's been on the vegetarian kibble a year and his teeth went from sparkling white on raw to "vet recommends anesthetic and a cleaning" on kibble.
Anyway, any recommendations on kibble feed with fish in it? (preferably low grain) My vet recommended royal canin but that stuffs like 100$ a bag!
