Last weekend we organised a camping trip for some of our Oldies Club friends, supporters, fosterers and adopters. It was a lovely campsite in Oxfordshire, and we ended up with a group of about 40 people and 50+ dogs - all of whom behaved brilliantly and mixed really well.
Being something of a wimp about home comforts and indoor plumbing I cheated and stayed in a B&B on the campsite with my daughter and my little Sophie whippet/collie X
Sophie and Amy at our little fundraiser 'bring and buy' sale
Making friends with other dogs
Sophie knows when she gives me this look she can get anything she wants. I so love this little dog
It was a bit of a test for Sophie - she came to me 2 years ago having spent the first seven years of her life in a cage in a barn with about 20 other dogs all in separate cages. Considering her background she is amazing - such a sweet natured loving little girl - but she can be quite nervous of strange people and strange dogs. I was so proud of her, she did really well and made lots of human and doggy friends, and behaved beautifully all weekend
