This is of couse if the South Coast's are on what with Warwick's closure (or at least rumour has it).

I'm from just south of Doncaster (A1 Blyth Services is less than 2 minutes drive from my back door) if anyone can help please get in touch.

you shouldn't lissen to rumours in whippet racing, theres too many of them!!

Warwick is NOT closed. only to Greyhound racing. They are still trailing every Wednesday am.

All whippet racing and Afghan racing is still taking place there

advert for south coast is in new septembers whippet news page 29

hope this helps

Amanda

Thanks Amanda it was on a Greyhound site that I discovered Warwick's closure. Hard luck for the Grey's - will await arrival of new w/n for advert as did not attend champs to collect.

Still need a lift though :(

first bend at warwick is bad. askern now loads better venue.

So as it been closed by an official body-(vets now have to be in attendance I believe) or have the greyhound men just found a better venue? i.e Askern?

What will he do with Warwick then..? lovely chap

sorry for all the questions

Karen

warwick is staying open as a schooling track so i was told today

I didn't realise the owner was 64 years old-as I said earlier what a lovely man...

This should be the lady in the cafe...

just picked up on this subject Karen

Graham and Edna have sold the track to a very nice lady called Sue

Her husband wants to train the greyhounds and she wants to develope the track

side of things

they have closed the track for greyhound racing because they are concertrating on geting his license and schooling pups at the moment.

The track has been closed for some time now has new sand was being relayed

this I have been told by graham and edna

Can anyone tell me if the Warwick south coast Scr bend champs will be using Whippet traps or Greyhound traps as i don't know which kick-board to bring with me.

 , john.

Usually Greyhound Traps are used for the weight classes and whippet traps for the run-off's. If you've got a handicap dog and you're feeling lucky you better fetch both !

any idea what size the greyhound traps are at warwick please

thanks for that  we'll take both kickboards :) you never know, might get lucky one day

john

better take a saw as well the last time i was there the boxes are a different size everybody was rushing around trying to make there boards fit

Well I'd give you the results but I don't have them as I didn't mark up my programme !

I could do it from memory but I don't have any times or any second placings.

Enjoyable day - the weather didn't now if it should be warm or cool though. Plenty of people milling about and the No Limit's were out in abundance.

Someone please give us the results etc.
