We will be holding a meeting at the South Cotswolds Pedigree Whippet Racing Club on 21st September which will take place at the Commoners Cricket Ground, Nympsfield, Nailsworth, Nr Stroud.

Racing will be club handicap over 160yds.

Trialling available for pups, young dogs and newcomers.

Yesterday, we held our first race meeting under the new South Cotswold PWRC Committee. We wish to thank all those involved in making the day a successful one :thumbsup:

We ran the 5th round of the handicap series which gave us some excellent close finishes throughout the day. Ahoy Ramona, Squashbug and The Observer recorded two wins apiece with the latter named putting in a strong finish in her second round to extend her points and join Blackthorn Bob and Blackthorn Slippy and the top of the leader board. With Blueberry Super, Squashbug and Special Brew all snapping at the leaders' heels it's going to be a close run thing for the perpetual trophies this year.

We all hope that Penny will soon be on the mend after being involved in a collision on the lure. Best wishes for a speedy recovery xxx
