Racing will be club handicap over 160yds.

Trialling available for pups, youngsters and newcomers.

We completed the handicap series today in weather warmer than it should be for the time of year :sweating:

With Blackthorn Slippy, Blackthorn Bob and The Observer all going forward to today's races on equal points the trophy was up for grabs and there was much speculation at the halfway stage.

It turned out that Blackthorn Slippy and The Observer both at the top of their game this month finished the day again on equal points after the pair of them won two races apiece. The trophy will spend six months with each :huggles: Blackthorn Bob was a gallant third.

The Show bred 'Flying Whippet' trophy was won this year by the very game Squashbug who snatched it in the final rounds of the competition from Blueberry Super who had run so well earlier in the year but just ran out of form over the last couple of weeks.

The Observer also won the prize for Top Veteran.

Thanks to all those that helped out today and made the day successful :thumbsup:

We have heard that Penny is on the mend and we wish her a full recovery :wub:
