South Cotswolds track

WHAT A DAY! setting up the track with high winds and a driving mist was unpleasant but with all hands on deck from the committee & co we made quick work of it and started the 16 race card well on time with a few trials to start the proceedings. Amazingly the lure stayed straight up the middle of the track and didn't blow about at all. The Whippets were running straight into the headwind but most didn't mind at all with just a couple of the really lightweights getting blown about a bit when an extra gust blew in!

Thanks to Peter for again helping out on the lure and bike and to Caroline for taking some great shots of the racing.

Not very nice travelling conditions either, reported from those coming down the M5 in the morning and hope you all had a better journey back. Thanks to everyone for their support which gave us a very competitive card to start the 1st handicap round of the year.

Blackthorn Bob, Red Apache, The Were Rabbit and Wilsdon Billy Mac each won 2 races apiece giving them equal standing at the head of the Handicap League Table.

Again the wilsdons had a great day at the South Cotswold club with a great level track even though the wild tried its best all the dogs enjoyed it. it was our first racing back for a few months and Billy especially after injury at the beginning of Feb I have not seen him race so well for some time.

again thanks to Maggie and her team for a great programme well worth the trip
